A 60-year-old pedestrian died after being hit by a car on Bucharesti Noi Boulevard. Traffic is restricted in the area.

On Friday, a tragic accident occurred on Bucureștii Noi Boulevard in the Capital, where a pedestrian approximately 60 years old was fatally struck by a car driven by a 41-year-old man. The incident took place around 12:35 PM, at the intersection with Nuvelei Street, when the driver attempted to avoid another vehicle, driven by a 76-year-old man, and hit the pedestrian who was crossing the street. Although resuscitation efforts were made at the scene, the doctors could not save the victim. Both drivers were tested for alcohol and drugs, with negative results. Following the accident, traffic on lane 1 of Bucureștii Noi Boulevard is restricted, and the police continue investigations to determine the exact causes of the incident.
