A 30-year-old man was fatally struck by a car while jaywalking. The 45-year-old driver tested negative with a breathalyzer.

The accident occurred on Doamna Ghica Street in Sector 2 of the capital. Although medical crews intervened promptly, they were unable to save the pedestrian. Witnesses said that the driver had a small child in the car and did not brake at the moment of impact. Officers opened a criminal file for manslaughter.
