Businessman Fănel Bogos, detained preventively for influence peddling in the DNA Vaslui case. The treasurer of PNL, Mihai Barbu, is also being investigated in the case.

The Vaslui Tribunal admitted, on Thursday evening, the proposal of the Prosecutor's Office of the High Court of Cassation and Justice - National Anticorruption Directorate - Iași Territorial Service regarding the preventive arrest of the defendant Făneș Bogos.

Thus, the court ordered the preventive arrest of the defendant Fănel Bogos, a recidivist, for influence peddling (4 material acts), complicity in using influence or authority, for 30 days, until December 5, inclusive.

The decision can be contested by the defendants within 48 hours from the pronouncement and by the DNA Iași within 48 hours from the communication.

The treasurer of PNL, Mihai Barbu, also received judicial control. According to DNA, Barbu allegedly exercised his political influence and authority to mediate meetings between Bogos and high-ranking state officials, including the director of ANSVSA and other politicians.
