Romania is facing a wave of polar air that will bring extremely low temperatures until Tuesday morning. ANM meteorologist Radu Ilea stated that in the northern half of the country, the weather will be very cold, with freezing conditions in northern Moldova and eastern Transylvania. Additionally, snow, sleet, and intensifications of the wind are expected.
In the other regions, temperatures will initially be above the normal levels for this period, but on Sunday, in the southern regions, a drop in temperatures will be recorded, reaching below the seasonal values. The minimums in the northern half will drop below -10°C in the following nights and mornings.
