The Europol Union drew attention, on Friday, to the decision of the Ministry of Internal Affairs to organize a single admission session in police agent schools this year, scheduled for autumn. This measure is all the more concerning as the personnel deficit among police officers exceeds 20%, which risks maintaining pressure on both operational and non-operational structures. Union members emphasize that territorial structures are operating at their limits, and the lack of personnel affects the quality of public service provided to citizens. Europol calls for the constant organization of admission sessions, filling vacant positions through all available legal means, and a long-term strategy that prioritizes professional training and personnel stability. They state that "field police officers need colleagues, not just promises" and urge the ministry to treat human resources as a strategic priority, not just a simple administrative chapter.
