From July 1, the electricity price cap will end and consumers will pay the tariffs set in their contracts with suppliers. Vulnerable people will benefit from 50 lei energy vouchers, available to those with incomes below certain limits. Applications for vouchers can be made online or by post. The support mechanism will run from July 1, 2025 to March 31, 2026, with an estimated financial impact of RON 1 billion.
