Approximately 300 students and teaching staff were evacuated due to a possible gas leak at the 'George Barițiu' Technical College in Baia Mare.

This morning, around 8:00 AM, approximately 300 students, 25 teaching staff, and 16 workers renovating the 'George Barițiu' Technical College in Baia Mare were evacuated due to a suspicious smell of gas. Authorities were alerted and sent firefighting crews, medical teams, and CBRN (chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear) teams to the scene. The gas supplier was also notified to intervene. The evacuation was carried out as a precautionary measure to ensure the safety of everyone present in the educational institution.
