The Competition Council imposed total fines of 163.71 million lei (approximately 32.15 million euros) on eight companies, including Automobile-Dacia and Renault Technologie Roumanie, for participating in an anti-competitive agreement. These companies were found guilty of colluding to restrict the labor market, limiting employee mobility and keeping labor costs low. Following the investigation, it was found that the firms agreed not to compete for the recruitment of specialized employees in the automotive production sector.

The fines ranged from nearly 1.4 million lei to 81.5 million lei, depending on the company. The President of the Council, Bogdan Chirițoiu, emphasized that such practices, known as 'no-poaching' agreements, harm competition and employee opportunities. The investigation was initiated following a report on the Competition Whistleblower Platform, and the Council's decisions are enforceable, with the fines being collected by ANAF.
