Trade unionists in education, representing the Federation of Free Trade Unions in Education, the 'Spiru Haret' Federation, and the 'Alma Mater' Federation, announced a protest in front of the Ministry of Education on Wednesday, in response to the Government's intention to further reduce personnel expenses through a new regulatory act. They believe that the proposed measures are inappropriate and unfair, having the potential to exacerbate existing problems in the educational system, such as the lack of qualified personnel and inadequate salaries. The trade unionists emphasize that any cuts will lead to an unprecedented crisis in education and violate the right to education for children. They are calling on the governing coalition to abandon these measures, stating that the education system is not responsible for the economic and corruption issues of previous governments.
