Following their meeting with Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan, education union leaders expressed their dissatisfaction with the austerity measures, calling for the resignation of Education Minister Daniel David. Although the Prime Minister listened to their demands, the unionists believe he has not reacted adequately. They have announced they will boycott the start of the school year, setting a timetable for protests that will decide whether classes start on September 8. The protests will continue to grow in intensity.
