Three education union federations are announcing a protest on June 18, in protest against the increase in the teaching norm, cuts in holiday vouchers and the abolition of the allowance for the scientific title of doctor. Teachers are also concerned about possible changes to tenure status and the extension of working hours to 8 hours. Education Minister Daniel David supports raising teachers' incomes, but on the condition that they are present in schools for the full time. The protest will continue if demands are not met.
