Education Minister Daniel David has said that the rules of the national assessment will not change this year and probably not in the next two years, stressing the importance of predictability for students. While he supports rethinking the exam, he highlighted current problems, such as testing limited to just two subjects, which does not reflect the skills acquired in secondary school. David hopes that in the long term the system will evolve, taking inspiration from models in other countries, so that it is no longer dependent on a single assessment to define the educational trajectory of young people.
