Dominic Fritz has taken the oath of allegiance to Romania, officially becoming a Romanian citizen.

Dominic Fritz, the mayor of Timișoara and president of USR, took the oath of allegiance to Romania on Thursday, thus formalizing his status as a Romanian citizen. On his Facebook page, Fritz expressed gratitude towards the country, emphasizing the privilege of choosing his love for Romania.

He also thanked the city of Timișoara, which he considers home. Previously, on November 13, Fritz, a German citizen, announced that he had passed the necessary interview and received a positive opinion for obtaining Romanian citizenship.
