Ionuț Moșteanu stated that those within the General Directorate of Military Intelligence who knew or were involved in the operations with Romanian mercenaries in Congo will be dismissed. He emphasized the seriousness of the complicity or incompetence of the secret services, considering that the leader of the mercenary company, Horațiu Potra, had an arsenal and large sums of money without the authorities being informed. Additionally, a law was proposed in Parliament to prevent military personnel from leaving as mercenaries, considering it immoral to use a legal loophole for such actions.
