A group of hackers known as Team 313 – Islamic Cyber Resistance has claimed a cyber attack on the website of the National Agency for Fiscal Administration (ANAF), in response to Romania's approval of the use of American military equipment at Mihail Kogălniceanu base for operations in the Middle East.

The attack, of the DDoS type, lasted about an hour, affecting taxpayers' access to ANAF's online services. Team 313 is known for similar attacks on government institutions in various regions, having the capability to launch coordinated attacks for political purposes. Romania has also been the target of cyber attacks in the past, including in 2022 and 2025, when government websites were affected by DDoS attacks claimed by pro-Russian groups.
