Cseke Attila receives positive endorsement for the Ministry of Development / PSD abstains from voting

Cseke Attila, nominated for the position of Minister of Development, Public Works and Administration, received a positive endorsement on Tuesday from the joint parliamentary committees for public administration. The vote took place as part of the hearing procedure for the proposed ministers.

The proposal was approved with 23 votes in favor and two votes against. Another 15 votes were recorded as abstentions. PSD lawmakers announced before the vote that they would abstain.

AUR representatives did not attend the meeting of the parliamentary committees. The favorable endorsement is advisory and represents a step in the procedure for validating the composition of the Government.

Cseke Attila has previously served as Minister of Development, Public Works and Administration. In the coming period, the proposals for the ministerial portfolios are to be put to a vote in the plenary session of Parliament.
