Complexul Energetic Oltenia SA has started the collective negotiation procedure for the period 2024-2026, with the first meeting on March 11. The management informed the social partners about the legal and budgetary limitations that prevent the negotiations from taking place, considering that the revenue and expenditure budget is not yet approved. The approval of the state budget is essential for completing the negotiations, and this represents the only objective impediment in the process. Additionally, CEO representatives mentioned that, according to the Restructuring Plan, the average number of employees will remain constant during the period 2026-2029, without collective dismissal measures. Negotiations will continue in the coming weeks, with the aim of concluding a new collective labor contract.
Press release: "In this meeting, the company's management informed the social partners about the existence of legal and budgetary limitations that currently prevent the effective conduct of negotiations. These limitations are generated by the fact that the company's revenue and expenditure budget is not yet approved, an essential condition for underpinning any salary-related commitments. After the approval of the state budget of Romania, the budget of the company Complexul Energetic Oltenia SA will also be submitted for approval, a necessary step for completing the collective negotiations. We emphasize that this represents the only objective impediment that has led, until now, to the non-completion of negotiations with representatives of the administration and the representative trade union federations, which participate in the negotiation process based on mandates granted by the legally constituted trade union organizations at the company level."
