The National Meteorological Administration (ANM) warns that, until Thursday morning, the weather will significantly cool down, bringing rain, strong winds, and snow in the mountainous areas, at altitudes over 1,400 meters.
In the Southern Carpathians, a snow layer of over 25 cm is expected, and the wind will blow at speeds of 70-80 km/h, with temporary gusts of 90-100 km/h in the high area. Between April 20 and 23, rain will be recorded in Maramureș, Crișana, Transylvania, and Moldova, with showers and electrical discharges, while in the mountains mixed precipitation will be recorded. The wind will intensify in most regions, and on Tuesday and Wednesday, the weather will become cold, with frost in the northern part of the country.
ANM has issued a yellow wind alert for certain areas, and the snow will continue to affect the Eastern and Southern Carpathians, with significant snow deposits.
