On Sunday, February 15, the weather will significantly cool down in Romania, with maximum temperatures ranging from 1 degree in northern Moldavia to 17 degrees in southern Muntenia. The sky will be predominantly cloudy, and snow and sleet are expected in Moldavia, Transylvania, Maramureș, and the Western Hills, where a layer of snow of 5-8 cm will accumulate. The wind will intensify to 40-60 km/h in most regions.
The National Meteorological Administration (ANM) has issued a yellow wind warning for Dobrogea and eastern Muntenia, valid between 8:00 AM and 2:00 PM, with gusts of 50-60 km/h. Another yellow warning is in effect between February 15 at 2:00 PM and February 16 at 8:00 AM, concerning the counties in the southeast of the country, where the wind may reach 65-70 km/h.
In the mountainous areas, blizzard conditions are forecasted, with snow accumulations of 5-15 cm and reduced visibility.
