CNAS proposes new rules for treatments offered in private clinics from public funds

The National Health Insurance House (CNAS) has announced a project that will change the rules for accessing treatments in private clinics funded by public funds.

CNAS will use a calculation formula to assess the necessary treatments and the capacity of public hospitals to provide them. If it is found that there are patients who cannot be treated in the public system, private providers will be able to be contracted to take over these patients. The project targets essential areas such as oncology, diabetes, and cardiovascular diseases, and the impact on patients will depend on the data reported by public hospitals.
