The Daily: The Minister of Transport, Ciprian Șerban, lied in his CV / "He was expelled"

Ciprian Șerban, deputy and Minister of Transport, is accused of having lied in his CV which mentions that he was a student at 'Petre Andrei' University in Iași between 2008-2009. In contrast, the University claims that he was enrolled between 2005-2006 and expelled in 2006 for non-attendance, according to Cotidianul.

In a reaction to Cotidianul, Șerban stated that he does not remember the exact details of his studies and avoided discussing the reasons for their interruption, but acknowledged that there are errors in his CV.

"The way I interrupted, that it was through abandonment, through expulsion, I don't know how it ended. I went elsewhere," said Ciprian Șerban.

Additionally, he mentioned that he studied at the Academy of Economic Studies in Bucharest and participated in various professional training programs.

This situation raises questions about the transparency and accuracy of the information in the official CVs of the ministers in the Bolojan Government, considering other scandals related to the studies of other ministers.

We remind that Ionuț Moșteanu resigned at the end of November 2025 from the position of Minister of Defense after the scandal of errors in his CV. He stated in his first official CV that he graduated from Athenaeum University, although he was never a student there.

At the same time, journalist Emilia Șercan revealed in PressOne that Radu Marinescu (PSD), the Minister of Justice, plagiarized in his doctoral thesis. On the other hand, Marinescu claims that the accusations are unfounded and that his thesis complies with the current legislation.
