CFR Călători has received the last Alstom train from a batch of 12 electric units.

CFR Călători has completed the reception of the last interregional electric train Alstom, named Coradia Stream – TS13, on March 5, 2026, at the Alstom Depot in Bucharest. This train is part of a larger contract for the acquisition of 37 electric units, and its atypical numbering is due to the fact that the first train was not delivered. The new trains will operate on important interregional routes, connecting Bucharest with cities such as Constanța, Craiova, and Timișoara, aiming to reduce travel times and improve services. The project, with a total value of 1.7 billion lei, is carried out under the auspices of the Ministry of Transport and benefits from European funding from two operational programs, with an implementation period of 24 months.
