A cardiologist from the 'Avram Iancu' Clinical Hospital in Oradea has been sent to trial for taking bribes in a continuous form, according to the National Anti-Corruption Directorate (DGA). The doctor is accused of having received bribes 10 times for issuing medical leave decisions necessary for the reserve status of military personnel and police officers from Bihor and neighboring counties.

The indictment shows that, in her capacity as a specialist and president of the military medical expertise commission, the accused demanded and received undue benefits in order to issue medical decisions with the mention 'limited fit'. The investigation was carried out by the DGA, and the referral to trial does not affect the presumption of innocence of the doctor.
