Between January 11 at 01:30 and January 13 at 10:00, Bucharest is under the influence of a meteorological information message, announced by ANM, regarding extremely cold weather, mixed precipitation, ice, and snow. At the beginning of the period, the thickness of the snow layer was 3-4 cm, and the minimum temperature ranged between -5 and -4 degrees. Meteorologists forecast that on January 11, the sky will be cloudy, with light snow and an additional snow layer of 2-4 cm. The wind will be light to moderate, and the maximum temperature will reach -4 to -3 degrees. During the period of January 12-13, the weather will remain cold, with variable skies and maximum temperatures of around -1 degree, while the minimums will drop between -10 and -8 degrees.
