The Bucharest Pride march, organized by the ACCEPT Association, started on Saturday at 5:00 PM in Victory Square in Bucharest, with hundreds of participants who set off on Victory Avenue towards United Nations Boulevard. The event, which will conclude with a concert in Izvor Park, aims to promote love, equality, and the right to dignity for the LGBT+ community.

Victor Ciobotaru, the executive director of the ACCEPT Association, emphasized that in 2026 there will be a demand for the legal recognition of families formed by same-sex individuals and access to medical services tailored to the specific needs of LGBT+ people. The march takes place after the 'March of Normality', led by MEP Diana Șoșoacă, who criticized the actions of the LGBT+ community. Additionally, the Romanian Patriarchate expressed concerns regarding the organization of the parade, highlighting the importance of Christian values and respect for the dignity of every person.
