Following the devastating explosion in a building in the Rahova neighborhood, the General Council of Bucharest Municipality approved, in an extraordinary meeting, the allocation of a financial aid of 2.9 million lei from the reserve fund. This money will be used for rent payments and social assistance for the affected individuals, with estimates suggesting that between 400 and 500 residents have been affected.

Mayor Stelian Bujduveanu assured that no one will be left on the street, and the City Hall teams are providing immediate support, including accommodation in hotels. So far, nine accommodation units have been identified, and the authorities continue to expand the available options. Approximately one hundred people were in the building at the time of the explosion and were evacuated, including students and staff from the 'Dimitrie Bolintineanu' High School, which was affected by the blast wave.
