At the Albița border crossing point, a man of Romanian-Moldovan nationality was stopped while trying to enter the country with a car registered in the Republic of Moldova. Checks revealed that the car was reported stolen from Italy and the man claimed he had bought it in good faith in Chisinau. Border police detained the car for investigation and the man is being investigated for concealment. This is not a unique situation, as other cars wanted by foreign authorities have been seized before.
