A Bistrița court has ordered the hospital to pay €1 million to the family of a patient who was misdiagnosed with 'Jungus' instead of pneumonia. After inadequate treatment, the young man ended up in a serious condition with irreversible brain damage. The verdict came after an eight-year trial and was appealed by both sides. The court also set a periodic benefit for the plaintiff and ordered the hospital to pay the costs.
