BAT Romania is launching this month the annual campaign 'Zero Tolerance towards the sale of tobacco and nicotine products to minors', aimed at informing and raising public awareness regarding the compliance with legislation that prevents minors' access to these products. The campaign will take place nationwide in approximately 32,000 partner stores and through street advertising in Bucharest. BAT emphasizes the importance of commercial responsibility and compliance with regulations, having strict internal policies to prevent minors' access.

In the context of the transformation of the tobacco industry, BAT promotes reduced-risk products, stating that they are intended exclusively for adults. Romania is among the first countries in the EU to implement comprehensive legislation to prevent minors' access to nicotine products. BAT collaborates with authorities to ensure compliance with these regulations, emphasizing that effective enforcement of the legislation is essential to protect minors and support adult smokers in the transition to less harmful alternatives.
