BAT Romania continues to support the Romanian Border Police with a new donation of 150 LPR cameras and an image storage unit, essential for border monitoring. This action is in line with efforts to combat smuggling, a phenomenon that damages the Romanian state by around RON 2 billion annually. The Border Police recently seized 133,500 packs of cigarettes, underlining the importance of being equipped with advanced technology to increase efficiency in detecting illegal activities. BAT reaffirms its commitment to work with the authorities to ensure a safer business environment.
