Meteorologists have issued a level 4 out of 5 avalanche warning, indicating a very high risk of avalanche occurrence, especially at altitudes above 1,800 meters, according to the Sibiu County Public Mountain Rescue Service.

Around 11:00 AM, a large avalanche occurred in the Bâlea Lake area, prompting mountain authorities to warn tourists and climbers to avoid high-altitude trails. Level 4 of danger indicates extremely dangerous conditions, and traveling in this area can be risky. Sibiu Mountain Rescue recommends avoiding movements in the massif and constantly monitoring weather and snow conditions.
