A tram started on its own from the depot in Arad, hitting a train with passengers.

A serious incident occurred in Arad, where a tram started by itself from the depot and traveled on Calea Aurel Vlaicu for approximately 500 meters before hitting a Civitas model train that was carrying passengers. Four people were injured in the collision and received medical assistance from ISU crews sent to the scene.

The director of the Arad Public Transport Company, Claudiu Godja, explained that the accident was probably caused by a mistake made by the driver, who accidentally touched the driving lever while getting out of the cabin. Both trams were damaged, and the authorities, including the police, have launched an investigation to clarify the circumstances of the accident.
