AUR has filed a lawsuit against Dominic Fritz for misleading statements related to the party's funding. Lawyer Silvia Uscov emphasized the importance of truth in politics.

AUR lawyer, Silvia Uscov, announced on Facebook on Thursday that the party has decided to take Dominic Fritz, the president of USR, to court due to his disinformation. Uscov stated that, although she supports freedom of expression, there are limits that should not be crossed, and false statements affect both the party and democracy in Romania.

In a video message, she mentioned that she requested the court to verify with the Permanent Electoral Authority the veracity of Fritz's claims about AUR's funding from Moscow. The lawsuit targets a symbolic amount of 100 lei, emphasizing that the goal is not financial, but to protect citizens' right to receive accurate information. Uscov stressed that it is essential for Romanians who support AUR not to be stigmatized as being manipulated by external sources.
