CNIR launches a tender for the connection between the A0 Highway and Otopeni Airport. The investment value exceeds 400 million lei.

The National Company for Road Investments has submitted the documentation for the Express Road auction, which will connect the A0 Bucharest North Highway with the future Terminal 2 of Henri Coandă-Otopeni International Airport. The estimated value of the investment exceeds 400 million lei.

This 2.5-kilometer connection will reduce travel time from nearly 20 minutes to just two minutes for a distance of 16-20 kilometers. The project will especially benefit the communities in Tunari and will facilitate the transport of goods for the airport's Cargo area.

The technical details include a "retrofitting" type road junction, overpasses, and the estimated duration for completion is 30 months.

The auction announcement will be published in the Electronic Public Procurement System (SEAP) after the documentation is validated.
