The Romanian Maritime Rescue Agency responded to a fire in the engine room of a ship with 16 people on board.

The SAR vessel APOLLO intervened to render assistance and pick up the crew, but they refused to leave the vessel. The fire was extinguished and the rescue vessel returned to base.
