The Railway Reform Authority has received the 11th electric branch Coradia Stream, which will be used by CFR Călători on interregional routes.

The Railway Reform Authority (ARF) announced the reception of the 11th electric train set RE-IR of the Coradia Stream type, delivered by Alstom. This unit, named TS11, is part of a contract signed with Alstom Ferroviaria S.p.A., which provides for the delivery of 37 interregional electric train sets.

The train has been handed over to CFR Călători and will operate on the routes included in the first public service contract tendered in Romania. The project is being carried out in two phases, with funding from the Large Infrastructure Operational Program and the Transport Program, having a total value of approximately 1.7 billion lei. These trains will improve railway transport services on important routes in the country.
