The National Energy Regulatory Authority (ANRE) has started a control action on the compensations granted to users by concessionary distribution operators, highlighting their lack of correlation with the performance of the service. ANRE President George-Sergiu Niculescu emphasized the importance of respecting consumers' rights and noted that in 2024, some operators paid significant compensation, while others offered much lower amounts. ANRE reiterates that operators have an obligation to provide compensation automatically, according to established standards.
