ANM announces minimum temperatures between -20 and -6 degrees, persistent frost and intensifications of wind in the south of the country, with a risk of ice.

The National Meteorological Administration (ANM) has issued warnings regarding the extremely low temperatures that will affect Romania in the coming days. Minimum temperatures will frequently drop between -20 and -6 degrees, and in the north and northeast of Moldova, as well as in the mountainous areas of Transylvania, the frost will persist even during the day, reaching values of approximately -10 degrees. Wind intensifications, with speeds of 40-50 km/h, will affect the south of Banat and restricted areas in the southeast, while mixed precipitation and ice will create difficult conditions, especially in the southern regions.

ANM has issued yellow codes for Sunday, when very low temperatures are expected in the north and northeast of Moldova, with maximums around -10 degrees. Additionally, the frost will persist in the rest of the country, with minimum temperatures between -20 and -10 degrees. On Monday, particularly low values are expected in Moldova and Transylvania, and in most regions, the frost will continue to be felt. Authorities recommend increased caution on the road and avoiding prolonged exposure to the cold.
