The National Agency for Cadastre and Land Registration (ANCPI) is facing the effects of the cyber attack on July 14, considered the most severe technical incident in the institution's history.

The ransomware attack led to the blocking of the e-Terra application, essential for cadastre and land registry, causing disruptions in the real estate market.

Public Record revealed that ANCPI has invested 68 million lei in the maintenance of IT systems over the last 8 years.

Three maintenance contracts, including one for e-Terra, awarded to the company Wing Leading Edge SRL, with a total value of over 11.6 million lei, have been identified.

These contracts include system monitoring, technical support, and security testing.

Additionally, other ANCPI applications have benefited from maintenance contracts worth over 20 million lei.

ANCPI continues to make efforts to strengthen its cybersecurity following the incident.
