The National Administration Apele Române (ANAR) announced that essential activities continue without interruption, despite recent incidents that have affected its information systems.

The technical measures for the complete restoration of the institution's functionality are already underway. ANAR has managed to restore user accounts, allowing employees secure access to the necessary systems. The email service is in the process of stabilization, and the dispatch application, essential for hydrological monitoring, has been relocated to a secure environment. Work to restore the financial application and the official website is also ongoing. ANAR is collaborating with authorities to ensure the protection of IT systems, and the National Cyber Security Directorate has been informed about the ransomware cyber attack that targeted its workstations and servers. The operation of the hydrotechnical infrastructure and forecasting activities have not been affected.
