The president of ANAF announced that some companies in Romania, considered to have a low fiscal risk, will no longer be subject to tax audits. This change comes with the completion of the digitization process of the Tax Authority, which will provide authorities with a clearer picture of taxpayers' activities. ANAF aims to direct audits towards companies with high fiscal risk, thus avoiding checks on companies that pay their taxes correctly and contribute significantly to the budget. The new fiscal risk analysis system, based on digital data, will make audits more efficient and reduce pressure on compliant firms.
