ANAF's Anti-Fraud Directorate has identified more than 200 non-resident companies that have sold goods in Romania without paying VAT, worth more than 200 million lei, in the last three years. Precautionary measures were imposed on 219 entities, totaling RON 40 million, and goods worth over RON 25 million were seized. The action targets firms that have not complied with tax legislation, with deliveries exceeding the €10,000 threshold, and that have not registered for VAT purposes. ANAF is continuing checks to ensure tax compliance.
