Adrian Nica, the president of ANAF, stated that the agency is currently conducting checks on 49 individuals suspected of illegal activities related to luxury cars, and is analyzing another 300 cases. So far, no car has been confiscated. Nica mentioned a phenomenon observed with a manelist from Argeș, who started to sell his assets before the confiscation order was issued.
ANAF has developed a mechanism to target individuals who purchase goods without substance. Nica promised that within a maximum of two weeks, the results of the confiscation actions will be presented.
He also discussed the challenges faced by ANAF employees during inspections, mentioning that their salaries are around 7,400-7,600 lei, and they may encounter delicate situations, often requiring police support.
