According to the National Institute of Statistics, almost 15% of Romanians are facing difficulties in paying utility bills, especially for gas, heating, and electricity. Additionally, 9.8% of households have arrears on bank loans. The rate of non-performing loans has increased to 2.81%, and specialists recommend negotiating with banks or refinancing loans to avoid critical financial situations. Affected Romanians may also consider the option of personal insolvency.
