Alexandru Rogobete, former Minister of Health from the PSD party, made a controversial statement on Wednesday, calling the former USR minister, Ioana Mihăilă, 'shaving cream' during an intervention at the Parliament podium. Mihăilă, an endocrinologist, owned a dermatology clinic in Oradea at the time of her appointment as minister in 2021.
Rogobete, who is an Anesthesia-Intensive Care physician, suspended his residency to dedicate himself to politics, which sparked criticism. In the same statement, he also mocked Vlad Voiculescu, claiming that he 'can’t find his diplomas too well.' This situation generated reactions among party colleagues and the opposition, highlighting tensions in the healthcare system and Romanian politics.
