During the NewMoney Talks 2026 event, Alexandru Rafila, former Minister of Health, highlighted the necessity of health education in schools in Romania. He emphasized that proper education in this field not only helps children understand the importance of health but also transforms them into information agents for their families. Rafila mentioned that for this education to be effective, parents must also be educated, as health information is not always available within the family.
He referred to INSCOP Research data regarding Romanians' perceptions of vaccination and emphasized that a culture of health can be created through education, accompanied by administrative and social measures. His conclusion was that improving the overall health status in Romania largely depends on health education implemented in schools.
