The painting was sold in an auction totaling $308 million and is the jewel of mogul Sydell Miller's collection. Art auctions at Sotheby's, Christie's and Phillips include about 1,200 works, estimated at between $1.1 billion and $1.5 billion, representing a 77% drop from November 2022.
