At the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival, Michael Douglas announced that he has no real plans to return to acting after a career spanning nearly 60 years. His last role was in the 2022 series Franklin. The 80-year-old actor emphasized that he is enjoying his free time and the career of his wife, Catherine Zeta-Jones. Douglas also mentioned his experience with throat cancer, saying he was lucky to avoid surgery that would have affected his ability to speak.
