Francis Ford Coppola, the famous director at the age of 85, was forced to sell his private island in Belize, Coral Caye, to cover the financial losses generated by his film "Megalopolis." The island, measuring 10,000 square meters, had been a refuge for Coppola, but it was sold for 1.8 million dollars after the director spent 120 million dollars of his savings on this project, which was a box office failure, earning only 14.4 million dollars. Coppola acknowledged that he is facing financial difficulties, stating that he invested all the borrowed money in the film and that he is now bankrupt. In the past, he also sold a luxury watch to cover his losses. Although he has been successful in his career, Coppola emphasizes that friendship and relationships are more important than money.
