Adrian Văncică was awarded on Friday evening with the best actor award at the Sarajevo Film Festival for his performance in the film "This is not your place here", directed by Florin Șerban.

In this film, Văncică plays the role of a father dedicated to work, but estranged from his son, with whom he comes into conflict after the latter commits a crime. The film also recently won the grand prize, the Golden Leopard, at the Locarno International Film Festival.

At 49 years old, Văncică is a renowned actor in Romania, having an impressive career in theater, film, and television. He graduated from the National University of Theatre and Film in Bucharest and became known for his role in the comedy series "Las Fierbinți".

Throughout his career, he has collaborated with prestigious directors and has acted in numerous award-winning productions, thus consolidating his status in contemporary Romanian cinema.
